What happens to my credits if a generation fails?

Credits are automatically refunded to your account when a job fails. You will receive an in-app notification confirming the refund.

Can I use StandIn Labs for free?

Yes. Free accounts receive 20 credits per month (reset on the 1st) with no credit card required. These credits let you try Image and Video Remix generation. Video, Motion Swap, Ad Creative, Audio Studio (Text to Speech, Speech to Speech, Voice Design), Lip Sync, Avatars, Storyboard, and Scheduler require a paid plan.

How long does video generation take?

Video jobs (Video Generation, Motion Swap, Video Remix, Lip Sync) typically complete in 2–5 minutes depending on server load. You can navigate away from the page — the job continues in the background and a notification appears when it's ready.

What file formats can I upload?

Images: JPG, PNG, WEBP (max 4 MB). Videos: MP4, MOV, WebM (max 50 MB). Audio: MP3, WAV (max 4 MB).

Is Instagram scheduling available?

Not yet. Instagram scheduling is coming soon. You can join the waitlist directly from Settings → Connected Accounts to get notified the moment it launches.

Are my uploaded images and generated outputs private?

Yes. All content is stored in a private storage bucket scoped to your user ID. Other users cannot access your files.

What is the difference between Motion Swap and Lip Sync?

Motion Swap transfers full-body motion from a driving video onto your avatar — the output replicates walking, dancing, or any body movement. Lip Sync takes a static photo and synchronises the mouth movement to a provided audio clip — the body does not move.

What is the Storyboard?

The Storyboard is a visual canvas where you connect multiple generation nodes — Image Gen, Video Gen, Motion Swap, and Library — into a workflow. Each node can be generated individually. Use the Video Combiner node to stitch completed video nodes into a single final video. Access it from Storyboard in the sidebar (paid plan required).

Can I use generated content commercially?

Yes. Content you generate on StandIn Labs is yours to use commercially. Review our Terms of Service for the full details and any prohibited use cases.
